Our Dear Leader Speaks

Obama calls on Americans to support rescue plan.
Ah, Senator? The vote was on Monday. But thanks for weighing in.
RENO, Nev. (AP) - Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama is calling for Americans to get behind attempts to salvage a $700 billion rescue plan for the financial sector.
Obama told a crowd at the University of Nevada at [...]

Love him or hate him, he might have a point.
TRUMP: Well, I think there is always a silver lining, and the beautiful silver lining to this is that oil is going to drop down to nothing, it’s about time. And there is nothing OPEC can do about it. And they’re taking tremendous losses like everybody [...]

Kos is feeling confident about how the Asset Nationalization bill is progressing.
So it’s time to craft a progressive solution to this problem and ditch the GOP. We have the majorities. Show some leadership. Pass a bailout plan with Democratic support, and then dare Bush to veto it. If things are as dire as he claims, [...]

Dan Riehl makes the case that we should consider letting it all burn.
Unfortunately, our government hasn’t been telling us the truth for decades no matter which party was in control. Maybe it’s time that they start. However, assuming they won’t, it might not hurt for Americans to at least start telling the truth of the [...]

Obama To The Rescue

Check out the Obama Youth, singing to their dear leader. It is obvious that they are only doing what the adults are telling them to do. They have absolutely no idea what they are singing for or about. It takes a special kind of adult that is willing to pimp out children for political propaganda.

They have no remorse or seriousness regarding their own role in this disaster. In fact, they want to expand the problem:
Now you could make the case that before 2008, well-intentioned people were simply unaware of what their agitation on behalf of non-credit-worthy borrowers could lead to. But now? With the whole financial world and possibly [...]

There is plenty of evidence that Democrats wanted the bailout vote to fail today.
During this national crisis, the vicious speech by Speaker Pelosi was not designed to bring the parties together or to gain any Republican votes.
It was just another chance for the Speaker to play politics and Bush-bash while the nation was looking for [...]

Did Nancy Pelosi  just make the single worst political mistake of her life? For some reason, Pelosi never had House Whip Jim Clyburn line up the votes needed to pass the emergency asset nationalization bill, and Obama never offered his support of the bill in an effort to get more Democrats to vote yes. Between [...]

I found this very interesting article on Yahoo News that places the blame for this economic debacle squarely on the Clinton Administration. Here are some choice quotes but you should read the whole thing. It is short and to the point.
One of the most frequently asked questions about the subprime market meltdown and housing crisis [...]
