Gateway Pundit has a clip up that is just devastating to the Democrats, exposing their blatant running of interference for Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac, as well as some of their most corrupt profiteers.
I would like to see any refutation from the Democrats, by way of footage from the record on these matters, addressing the claims represented in this and other recent videos.
Again, I also have to ask the question….what was going on in these meetings when the Republicans were in charge?
One thing that’s becoming clear, regardless of the rightfully shared blame, is that this economic debacle is the result of the perfect storm of social engineering imposed on the credit markets by the Clinton administration (likely for political expediency), combined with worthless congressional oversight (due to corruption and incompetence), mixed with good old fashioned market greed.
Obama is dead wrong on the lessons he draws from all of these failures. This does not disprove the theories of free market capitalism, rather, it exposes the devastating effect of socialist engineering imposed on the market place.
Obama and other Democrats may not know it yet, but what we are witnessing is writing of the Clinton legacy. Monica is going to be a footnote compared to this massacre of sound governance.
Bush won’t escape owning a big piece of this nightmare though, because at the end of the day he failed to get Congress to behave responsibly, or in light of the fact that Congress could not be reformed, adequately communicate the danger we faced. He told us to keep shopping. The reasons for these failings are plentiful, but I am willing to cut him some slack to some degree, because he has had to fight several wars against Islamists, his own intel community, and the hard core American left, all at the same time. I wonder how frequently theses enemies colluded….but I digress. he has done all of this with the genuine mindfulness that history will judge him for his actions. I don’t sniff a whiff of that sense of responsibility on the left.
These videos are not going to stop coming, and the Dem’s are getting slaughtered by the YouTube generation right now. In light of these facts, the Dem’s might want to engage in the slightest amount of damage control, and at least begin to take the tiniest measure of responsibility for the debacle they have helped to create.

In 2004, the republicans hold a majority on that committee. If they seriously want a vote on it, then they get a vote on it. Don’t blame the democrats because the republican party was too spineless to even get the legislation out of committee. Obviously there was complacency with a number of republicans on the issue. Accountability gentlemen.
Dero- Read the whole post. There is certainly enough blame to go around. Please inform Nancy Pelosi!
[...] Congress not providing oversight???? Hey, at least they’re consistent! [...]
