Democrats and Obama in particular have become do ridiculous it is pathetic. ABC acting as an Obama campaign surrogate has once again proven to the voters of America just how far left their bias really is. The slow pitch, no, T-Ball interview Gibson did with Obama vs the Roger Clemens fastball approach with Palin should be another reminder to us who are already aware of it and a wake-up call to those who aren't. Even some of the Hillary forums are making comparisons and posting them on their websites. One of them is already making the rounds in the blogosphere.

McCain is still leading in the polls, more than a week after the convention. I suspect that after the Gibson interview fiasco and I am referring to Gibson, the lead will either remain or increase as time goes on.

The American people are a fair people and do not like it when a handfull of elitists in the MSM, Hollywood, and other countries start attacking someone who has captured the attention and admiration of so many, so quickly. The more they attack and assault Sarah Palin, the bigger and tighter the circle will form around her. As the sexism increases against her from both male and female from the left, more and more will cross the aisle and into Sarah's camp. The more they attack her family, the more the average American family will identify with her.

When Hillary was running for the Senate and her opponent crossed the stage and confronted her, that was the signal moment of the campaign. He made an intimidating move and it did not resonate with the voters. The same thing is going on here and the voters will respond in opposition.

The more we are preached to by Europeans and now the Australians, the more we dig our heels in as a whole. I am not counting the liberals who feel we should "capitulate" our will to the European model but the average American who goes to work each day to put food on the table, clothe the family, provide shelter, and educate their children.

Sometimes it does come down to plain old Americanism, not the more nuanced and "sophisticated" issues. Deep down, I still believe Americans will defend this country from character assasination attacks from within and the outside. Now, one of our own, a woman from Alaska who shares the core values of the average American is under attack from both forces. The backlash has just begun and those who are responsible for it will never understand what it is to be from the "heartland" of America.
