The Democrat Moral Hypocrisy

Gateway Pundit has the following quote from the President-Elect that betrays a tremendous hypocrisy on the left when it comes to preaching morality.

US President-elect Barack Obama has promised to rebuild his country’s “moral stature in the world”.

It’s interesting that the Democrat party, which places so much emphasis on the importance and necessity of rejecting “moral authority” when it comes to things like abortion, stem cell research, and certain kinds of marriage, would so frequently obsess over America’s global “moral stature”. It is a contradiction to be sure, and one that discredits their argument when it comes to rejecting moral judgments here at home.

    I think that when Dems say “moral authority” they are talking about ethical issues (abortion, gay marriage, stem cell, etc.). But when Obama talks about recovering America’s international moral stature, he isn’t talking about ethical issues, but rather about the international perception of America and her international leadership
