Jeffery Goldberg recalls his interview of Nizar Rayyan who was recently dispatched by the IDF:
There is no chance that true Islam would ever allow a Jewish state to survive in the Muslim Middle East. Israel is an impossibility. It is an offense against God.“
This is the enemy Israel is facing. I can’t imagine why the Jews don’t simply make peace with Hamas.
The quote betrays the underlying humiliation Islamists feel regarding the infidel state. Its mere existence is an affront to “true Islam”. What percentage of muslims think this way?

When I came here (to Palestine), there were 250,000 non-Jews, mainly Arabs and Bedouins. It was a desert, more than underdeveloped. Nothing.” Prime Minister Menachem Begin called Palestinians “two-legged beasts.” Prime Minister Yitzhak Shamir called them “grasshoppers” who could be crushed.
