I am not one for punitively delinking, but the anti-Israel bias that No Quarter is displaying is forcing me to bump them down on my sidebar.
You do not just kill Palestinians because you can. You kill the assholes shooting the rockets/missiles.
No matter that the missiles are fired by an Islamist terrorist state that has continually vowed to drive the Jews in to the sea. The only way that No Quarter feels is acceptable, is to attack people who have already started to attempt murdering your citizens, not the infrastructure that continually churns out the murderers.
The principle of proportionality at issue is that Israel is killing scores more Palestinian civilians than have died in Israel from Hamas rockets. Four Israelis have died from rocket attacks while more than 100 Palestinian civilians have been killed. That’s the point nitwit.
This is a terribly immoral argument. It assumes that just because the missiles aren’t killing as many people as the islamists would like, Israel should ignore the trauma it causes it’s citizens to be shelled every day. Do you suppose that when Israelis hear a missile coming, they think to themselves, “Ha ha ha. Nothing to worry about here.” Or do you think it terrorizes them every time? How would you feel if it was your neighborhood?
By No Quarter’s measuring stick, the only appropriate response to the bombing of Pearl Harbor would have been to attack the Japanese ships that took part in the attack.
By No Quarter’s rules of engagement, if Canada were continually lobbing missiles over the border, we could only go after the missile teams we could catch in the act, and not the infrastructure that supports those attackers. Thank god No Quarter isn’t charged with protecting the homeland.
So down you go (as if they care) to the bottom of the blog rss column, just below Daily Kos, who I have there mostly as a source of amusement.
