Geert Wilders has been barred from entry into the UK.

The purpose of this letter is to inform you that the Secretary of State is of the view that your presence in the UK would pose a genuine, present and sufficiently serious threat to one of the fundamental interests of society. The Secretary of State is satisfied that your statements about Muslims and their beliefs, as expressed in your film Fitna and elsewhere, would threaten community harmony and therefore public security in the UK.

Think what you will about Geert Wilders. He is a controversial figure even among the anti-jihad minded. But if Mahmoud Ahmadinejad can fly into New York City, cozy into a posh Manhattan hotel, Waltz into the UN to deliver a lecture,  and stroll up to Columbia University for a speaking engagement, can’t the UK figure out a way to accommodate an MP from a fellow EU country?

Would Mahmoud Ahmadinejad be accommodated in London like he was in NYC? Wouldn’t it be critical to offer him all of the comforts of the very society he openly hopes to conquer, as a way of demonstrating London’s progressive tolerance bonafides?
