Please Regulate Speech On The Internet

February 18, 2009

[via Gateway Pundit] Our message to Democrat Henry Waxman and his Progressive brethren considering regulating free speech on the internet; Please please please please please please do it.

Waxman is also interested, say sources, in looking at how the Internet is being used for content and free speech purposes. “It’s all about diversity in media,” says a House Energy staffer, familiar with the meetings. “Does one radio station or one station group control four of the five most powerful outlets in one community? Do four stations in one region carry Rush Limbaugh, and nothing else during the same time slot? Does one heavily trafficked Internet site present one side of an issue and not link to sites that present alternative views?

The average American regretfully doesn’t pay much attention when the Government vilifies, coerces, and blackmails the big evil corporate media giants, but they are making a monumental miscalculation if they think that they can treat individuals in the same manner. And that is what most blogs are, the free and independent expressions of individuals.

Nothing would be better for the political blogosphere (and the country at large) than the fascists Progressive Democrats dropping all pretense of respect for the US constitution by trying to tell free Americans what they can and cannot write or say.

Can you imagine the British Monarchy of the 1770′s passing laws demanding that Thomas Paine give column space in his pamphlets, to anti-independence opinions? Why….people would’ve revolted.

The short sightedness of the Progressive Democrats and their lemming supporters is astounding. Do they seriously not envision a day when the political winds will shift again to the right? Do Democrats not fear that one day an ultra conservative government might come to power and use this dictatorship-lite structure against it’s own authors?  They should.

Aren’t so called “social liberals” embarrassed that these fascist machinations regarding controlling undesirable speech repeatedly emanate from the Democrat party? I guess some free speech is more equal than other free speech.

Well, the bloom is pretty much off the rose by now. All that’s left are the thorns.
There can’t possibly by any doubt that many years of pent-up frustrations of leftists are being unleashed in a short amount of time. Their resentment at being unable to control us has driven them quite mad.
The American people will not let this go uncontested. We have to remind ourselves that many younger folks have never seen the Democrat leftists in action. They are in for very rude awakening.

The FCC doesn’t need to order me to put competing views on my blog. My blog is enabled for comments and any FCC commissioner with a computer and an ISP can speak freely. I’ll be waiting.
