Federal Tax Dollars Buying FLOWERS In Chicago! (UPDATED And Bumped)

March 30, 2009

In the olden days, residents of Chicago were the only ones who paid for the beautiful flowers that line Michigan Avenue on what is known as the “Magnificent Mile.”

Now, thanks to the National Socialist bailouts, every American taxpayer gets to pay for tulips courtesy of Bank of America:

April 1—May 31, 2009

Tulips on The Magnificent Mile® presented by Bank of America celebrates spring, architecture and Daniel Burnham’s “City Beautiful” vision for Chicago. The Magnificent Mile comes alive with color as hundreds of thousands of vibrant tulips bloom on One of the Great Avenues of the World.

Thanks for the flowers America. What a country!

Interestingly, the official Mag Mile Tulip website doesn’t mention the Bank Of America sponsorship.

We have just spoken to a member of the Greater North Michigan Avenue Association who confirmed that Bank of America is NOT a sponsor this year. They have stated that this was a mistake on their website and appreciated our pointing it out.

Sounds good to us.

One Response to Federal Tax Dollars Buying FLOWERS In Chicago! (UPDATED And Bumped)

Bank of America is no longer the presenting sponsor of Tulips on The Magnificent Mile. They are not involved in 2009 and that is why they are not listed on the website. You will notice online that the Tulips logo does not have them listed. Perhaps the operators of the website could shed more light.
