Congressional ethics officials are investigating Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr.’s actions in connection with Gov. Rod Blagojevich’s alleged attempt to sell the U.S. Senate seat left open by Barack Obama’s election to the presidency, the congressman confirmed today.
“I’m confident that this new ethics office – which I voted in favor of creating — will be able to conduct a fair and expeditious review and dismiss this matter,” he said in his statement.
This must all be some simple misunderstanding. They must want to investigate his ethics so that they can clear his good name.
