I sure hope some tree nuts show up to my local tea party. They will be re-organized by the community for proper storage in the annals of history.

I've confirmed ACORN is going to show up at key tea parties. Not even the biggest cities, but places they can make an effect so don't let them bully you around. I got a surprise or two linked up for them

To those of you complaining about this blog spreading rumors: have you completely missed the fact that he hasn't stated that the rumors are true? That he is, in fact, asking for evidence one way or the other? Perhaps in your world asking "is this true" is equivalent to saying "this is true". For the rest of us, it's equivalent to saying "I don't know - do you have any evidence". If someone shows up with concrete evidence that these counter-protests or disruptions are being planned, then they'll be proved true. If no such evidence surfaces, they'll be proved false by presumptive conclusion. Why is this so hard to understand?

Dems/liberals/etc. aren't afraid of MORE voters, which is what ACORN represents. Yet cons and Repubs seem to hate it when people actually vote... why is that? Oh yeah, most people think you all are stupid and would never vote for you. THAT is your problem with ACORN. Yet you have no problem with robocalls telling people their polling place is moved, or people illegally dropped from voter rolls. Seems there's only one constant -- you want LESS people to vote, because you know it's the only way you can ever win an election.

I find it really interesting that the LEFT, when confronted with factual information, such as the activities of ACORN and The Huffington Post toward Tea Partiers, start calling names, screaming profanity and generally go into an emotional meltdown ... much of it directed toward a President and an administration no longer in Washington.

They, to a person, continue their sycophantic, slobbering love affair with a man and an ideology that is gleefully trying to destroy this country.

I, and other Tea Partiers, are unalterably part of a movement that fights to keep this country free - for EVERYONE - even people with whom we disagree. The Leftists seek the opposite ... freedom only for those who agree COMPLETELY with their position ... those who slavishly follow anything that would suffocate what America has stood for over 200 years ... which to my mind is TREASON!

Wow. I've been reading a lot of accusatory articles about ACORN around the web in the past few days and weeks, but I never really see any substance to them. No figures, no links, nothing which would compel me to believe anything I'm hearing is beyond partisan rhetoric.

It's easy to sign on to an idea because people whom you respect tell you that it's the right thing to do, and that "bad" people are opposed to it. It's easy to take whatever you read on the web or see in the news as gospel truth, without ever investigating the facts of the matter yourself. Unfortunately, there is a lot of misrepresentation out there, and what's worse, lies. I know, it's shocking to hear, but everything that you hear on the news and on the web that you have a gut tendency to believe in, just might not pass the smell test if examined under the harsh light of reality.

People of all different political persuasions lie and otherwise take liberty with the truth. I'm not saying that this is the case here. But, in the absence of fact, don't take someone's word for it! Go out and do some legwork yourself and get to the bottom of things. You might think our country is going down the tubes for a number of reasons, but things aren't going to get better unless the population educates itself and takes responsibility for their own actions, and those of their elected officials.

No matter what your opinion is on a topic, the facts and the truth don't change. Bending reality to fit your point of view will just lead our country further down the sad road of division and failure that we've already begun to travel down. There's nothing shameful about admitting when you are wrong...only insisting that you're right despite what the reality of the situation is.

I'm not saying that ACORN isn't conspiring to interrupt the Tax Day protests. I'm just not willing to believe that it's so because it was floated on Fox News, and because people are talking about it on the Internet. I base my opinions and beliefs on the most objective observations of reality I can make.

Knowledge is power. The truth will set you free.
