McCain Faces Challenge From Minuteman Founder Chris Simcox

April 21, 2009

[via Politico]

Chris Simcox, the founder of the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps and a prominent figure in the movement to clamp down on illegal immigration, will be announcing tomorrow at an event on the Mexican border that he’s resigned from the group to run in the 2010 Senate primary.

If you listen closely, you can almost hear Sarah Palin reaching for her checkbook.

If Chris actually challenges McCain then I will support him financially. It is time for average Americans to take back control of our run away government and the way to do it is to kick out the people that are the problems. And McCain is certainly one of the problems.

Anyone that’s a legal American and isn’t a Democrat or Republican works for me. Hard to find somebody that upholds and defends the Constitution these days. Go Chris.

I live in Arizona, and in 2004 had to throw away my vote and go for the Libertarian candidate as I just COULD NOT vote for McCain. I am THRILLED to have somebody challenge him in the primary, and will definately be actively working for Chris here in the border county of Cochise!
