Yes. It is wrong. Depending on how you look at it.
Switching the viewpoint to the USA, because someone’s “rights” vary from one country to another and I have no idea what sort of gang runs that country…You have zero idea why the man was arrested. His politics and prejudice have nothing to do with anything. In our country, they are supposed to tell you why you are being not only arrested, but even stopped from going about your own damn business, by the police or any government entity.
You either believe in the Constitution of the USA or you don’t. There is no in between. You have to let David Duke walk around carrying his prejudices along with him, just as you have to let Al Sharpton walk around carrying his. When you start picking and choosing who gets to have what rights, you are no longer in the right. The founding fathers would be a bit disappointed with you, I think.
I agree with the poster above. Imagine just being pulled off the street and not even knowing why they are doing it.
jdallen and Cindy,
Admirable comments if this had occurred in the United States, but irrelevant to the reason as to why David Duke was apprehended in the Czech Republic.
It’s easy to find out why he was arrested and under what laws in the Czech Republic were violated. David Duke knew exactly why he was under arrest and was being as polite as possible since cameras were present and rolling.
