Which Caucus Visited Cuba? The Black One Or The Progressive One?

April 10, 2009

While the storyline is that the Democrats who recently visited with, and then gushed over, Fidel Castro were representing the Congressional Black Caucus [see Malkin for excellent coverage of their "boot-licking"], there is one thing these Democrats all have in common besides membership in the CBC. They are also all members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus.

While any caucus based on the color of one’s skin is offensive on its surface, the Congressional Progressive Caucus threatens individual liberty far more than the CBC, unless you look at them as not much more than different chapters in the same socialist playbook.

Which caucus do you think has more in common with Communist Cuba, the Congressional Black Caucus, or the Congressional Progressive Caucus?

Background on the Congressional Progressive Caucus here.

Especially here.

We just hope that they are not using their membership in the Congressional Black Caucus to shield them from criticism they might receive if they were visiting Cuba’s incapacitated dictator as Socialist Progressives.

I believe the Black Caucus should go on a fact finding mission to Cuba . And return by Raft from Cuba to Florida. Let they experience it all.

Either way it always boils down to this key point.

The Communist Party feels right at home in the Democrat Party.
