Will The Feds Limit How Much $$ Construction Company CEO’s Can Earn?

April 13, 2009

It’s good to be from the king’s home state! The construction industry bailout is well under way here in Illinois, and Crain’s Chicago Business is shouting from the rooftops! For Joy!!

(Crainís) ó Illinois is getting a jump on the federal stimulus program, claiming more than 12% of the road and bridge projects approved so far by the U.S. Department of Transportation.

Illinois has obligated $605.2 million for the projects approved so far, she added, out of the $935 million available to the state for road and bridge work. Illinois transportation officials hope to garner extra money that will be redistributed if other states canít use theirs within the actís strict deadlines.

If the banking industry and the auto industry and the insurance industry are going to be bailed out, why not the construction industry too, yes?

We just wonder if the government is going to limit the pay of the construction industry CEO’s who they don’t fire GM style.
