Center Right News notes the irony of the title of the blog post at Whitehouse.gov which announced President Obama’s “budget.”
Today President Obama sent his $3,400 billion budget to Congress. It included the elimination of $17 Billion in wasteful government spending. The official White House blog released excerpts of the President’s comments introducing the budget to the American People. The title on the post was “Ending Bad Habits.“
Irony and mockery wrapped in a big red bow.
$3,400 Billion is a great way to list this. Sorta makes the $17 billion so called cut sound like what it really is, nothing.
Don’t forget though that 95% of Americans will receive a tax cut. There are plenty of super rich to cover the difference, aren’t there?
Cuts are cuts. We obsess so much over comparison against prior presidents that we lose sight of the present. I think that we should forget precedent and focus on the fact that he is a liberal spender who is cutting spending, which is a good thing.
If we can learn as a nation to focus on the positive it will move the country ahead much more quickly.

What Is Cash Gifting, if you have 3,400 pennies, and I take away 17 of those pennies, you would still have so many pennies that you would laugh at the idea of even noticing those missing 17 pennies.
There is no positive to focus on with this.
Let’s put it yet another way, if you needed 3,400 pennies to buy your first meal in days, and I handed you 17 pennies and told you it was a meaningful start to your goal of eating today, would you still focus on the positive, or would you come to the realization that you are going to starve?
