Car Prices Going Up For Americans Earning More Than $250,000.00

May 28, 2009

Barack Obama promised no tax increases for people earning less than $250,000, and a tax cut for 95% of Americans.

That is unless they buy things like cars (or anything else):

“WANT A NEW CAR IN A FEW YEARS? DIG DEEP.” “New fuel efficiency standards and auto industry woes will drive price tags skyward.”

How are the Progressives going to ensure that the price only goes up for those earning more than $250,000.00?

I think the only thing the progressive/liberals will do is ensure that there’s another tax attached to USED car purchases which will likely blossom for decades.

Shall we start the countdown now on the pitchfork treatment for the founder(s) of CarMax?

Are these same CarMax founders Republicans?

Not a Tax! Buy what you can afford!(capitalist view)If you can’t afford it you don’t deserve it.I Would love to make $250000 a year.I’ll take even half that pay taxes and be happy.I buy 10 year old cars already.I’ll be dead before I have pay the up charge.

under the FairTax, used cars would not be taxed since they would have already been taxed when they were purchased the first time new.

this was as our framers envisioned a system of taxation….
