DHS Walks Back Report On Right-Wing Extremism

May 14, 2009

[via Hot Air]

Remember that report on right-wing extremism written by the Department of Homeland Security and released the day before the tax day Tea Parties?

DHS is now recalling the faulty report:

A contentious “Rightwing Extremism” report that warned of military veterans as possible recruits for terrorist attacks against the U.S. was not authorized, has been withdrawn and is being rewritten, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano told Capitol Hill lawmakers. …

Perhaps they are worried when jihadis attack us again, the American public might be a little upset that the DHS was preoccupied by publishing poorly crafted reports about conservative protesters, while the islamists went undisturbed.

We still hope they investigate the group we posted about when the report was initially released:

It’s Janet Napolitano who should be recalled!

It’s communism that’s criminal. I wonder what Janet thinks about those pushing for that.
