We just received this email from our very own Drudge Potato Al, following up on our earlier post about the vilification of the SUVs:
Rush just mentioned that in Magnolia Texas, there’s an Arby’s that has across from the handicapped parking…
PREFERRED PARKING FOR HYBRIDS.
Evidently this is also at a Doubletree as well.
This reminded us of the image below, captured at McCormick place during the 2008 Chicago Auto Show:

Non-green goes to the back of the bus parking lot.



Now I’m British and there are many things about America I’m not too well informed on, but it seems to me for a store wanting to promote its green credentials it makes no sense and is counter-productive to ask those fuel hungry SUVs to drive all the way to the back of the car park.
Just saying.
Mommy’s not going to be a democrat much longer if she has this to deal with when shopping. Especially when she has to fight to ignore the incessant browbeating into giving up her SUV or minivan.
Her mood won’t likely improve either when trying to pile her kids out of the clown car.
