Below is a video report about the Taliban holding 2000 people hostage as human shields in Pakistan, in one area alone.
If this were Gaza or Lebanon, Progressive Democrats would be saying we just need to understand why the Islamists are acting this way. What are their legitimate grievances, Democrats would ponder.
If Pakistan kills any of these Islamists holding 2000 civilians hostage, will there be charges of war crimes? If Pakistan were a Jewish nation it wouldn’t be a question, but because all of the players here are Muslims, and this is yet another example of Muslims slaughtering each other in the name of an increasingly assertive and violent Sharia-inspired Jihad, the Left will likely remain perfectly silent.
The Left should ponder this double standard for a moment. Muslims attack Jews. Jews fight back. People die. It’s the Jews fault because the Islamists have legitimate grievances.
Muslims attack Muslims. Muslims fight back. People die. The Left is silent.
In both cases, Jihadis are murdering innocent people. Can anyone on the Left explain this apparent double standard in their response to these circumstances?
