White House Uses Public Money To Promote Religion – Guess Which One

The White House use of taxpayer funds to promote Islam is a clear violation of the Constitutional separation between church and state. The Establishment Clause clearly prohibits the use of federal dollars to promote religion, including and especially a specific religion.

Constitution shmonstitution. The rules only apply to Republicans.

Yes, it is a clear violation of the US Constitution however, the One (constitutional scholar) has said that the document is a “living” document.

Such a document would be subject to interpretation…the White House’s interpretation.

    Outrageous!

Soooo, where is Michael Newdow, the guy who’s always complaining about how he’s so damaged by the mention of God’s name that he has to file a frivolous lawsuit every six months or so to have it removed from his sight?
    Anyone? Bueller?

I tend to agree, but would like more specifics about what money is being spent to “promote” Islam as a religion. If true, this would seem to be “excessive entanglement” that is prohibited by the Courts. However, lets be careful to remember that the Establishment Clause has been interpreted to mean much more than the prohibition of govt “establishing” a religion and that may not necessarily be a good thing when it goes so far as to prevent free exercise or even recognition. In my view, part of the attack on Western Civilization as we know it includes an attack on Judeo-Christian values and any recognition that we were founded IN PART upon those values. We should be able to strike the balance of recognizing our roots without the Govt “establishing” any religion including “secularism” which many find to be a religion as well.

Don’t hold your breath waiting for the ACLU to get right on this.
