Josh Kraushaar at Politico has his opportunity to massage the boilerplate “Democrat comes from behind” success story. Francine Busby, running for a California congressional seat representing San Diego, may have improved her election prospects based upon how police officers reacted to a fundraising event recently held by Busby’s supporters.
While the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department claimed that it was responding to a noise complaint phoned in by a neighbor and that the host attacked the police officer, Busby and other attendees said the phone call was a prank and a politically motivated hit on her campaign.
We can expect great things from Francine. She’s gonna be one to watch.
Busby is eternal Kool-Aid drinking candidate from that area.

As to the Deputies, they are Damned if you do ( They reponded), Damned if you don’t. Imagine the bitching and Complaining if they had not)
As to these people, I can tell you as a former law enforcer who worked in that area that these people do not think laws apply to THEM.
Busby is not the eternal Kool-Aid drinking candidate. You are obviously ignorant and don’t have the proper facts. You say she usually looses by 20 points. That is incorrect. In the 2006 Special election all Party Primary she won with 45% of the vote to compared to Bilbray with 17% of the vote. The reason she didn’t win the seat is because you need 50% to take a seat in a primary. In the Special Election of the that of 2006 she came within 5 points behind Bilbray. This is remarkable work for a district that is supposed to be a republican stronghold. Like the blogger writes, she is someone to watch.
Also I was at the fundraiser and these people do believe the law applies to them but they also understand they have writes and sometimes law enforcement isnt always right. The deputy was not damned either way because this didn’t need to happen. A helicoptor, kanine unit, back enforcement, pepper spray was all exsessive force and useless for a event that had quests in there 50′s, 60′s ,70
s and 80′s. These are law abidding citizens that were caught up in something that is still unexplainable.
In conclusion, Francine Busby looks like she can finally take this district. Bilbrays own party has labled him as an endagered congressmember. The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee is prepared to invest and with Francine the investment with conclude with a Democratic 50th Congressional Seat.
