BREAKING VIDEO REPORT – St. Louis Backlash At SEIU Headquarters “I Want The Law To…Serve Justice”

The St. Louis Tea Party turned the tables on SEIU, and took the protest to union headquarters!
Jim Hoft of Gateway Pundit was kind enough spend some time with us on the phone today, giving his first hand account of what went down.
Jim also shared some pictures and video he shot of Kenneth Gladney, the man who was allegedly attacked by SEIU union members.
In the video Kenneth talks about what happened, and what he would like to see happen to the people who attacked him.
“I just want the law to do what they do best, and that is… you know… serve justice. That’s it.”

I understand that if he’s going to file a lawsuit or something, Gladney may want to be seen in a wheelchair.
However, conservatives ought to be careful.
For those of us who saw the video, he appeared to get beat up a little, not “beaten”. He seemed pretty much OK afterwards, and to see him now in a wheelchair smells a bit funny.
Don’t get too carried away.
You are absolutely correct Sean. You can even here Jim Hoft chuckle when he mentions Gladney showing up in a wheelchair. He might be jumping the shark theatrically speaking.
You people know little about skeletal injuries.
There is a reason that EMS put neck braces on car crash victims whether they need one or not.
You may be able to walk but in walking you may exacerbate an injury. Most likely Gladney is in a wheelchair not because he can’t walk but because if he does walk he makes his injuries either worse or more difficult to heal.
Got it?
Oh, I for got to add: “whose side are you on?”
Sean, have you never been in an accident or other traumatic situation? Have you never felt the adrenaline that hides the pain, and then the next day you feel like a train ran you over? Trust me, it happens.
Paul- I don’t think he saying the injuries are not real. He is simply advising that people be careful about not getting too carried away.
I saw all of the videos and I agree, but I’m sure (hoping) there’s enough medical documentation to back up his present condition. People involved in car accidents can walk around after the accident without apparent difficulty, but the next day is when the worst of the injuries make themselves known.
Jim Treacher said it best: “If Kenneth Gladney was an Obama supporter, right now he’d be more famous than Rodney King. Al Sharpton would have a whole rack of new suits.”
Good luck to you Kenneth and I hope you do have a full recovery, both physically and spiritually. It can’t feel good knowing you were the victim of (yet another) poor choice of presidential who acted stupidly and incited violence with his comments to his entrenched interests (SEIU).
Geez, guys, only those beaten up by ‘conservatives’ get really hurt. One doesn’t get ‘beaten’ by a liberal thug so much as ‘massaged into compliance.’
Anyway, I’m sure none of the naysayers here would complain if the Gitmo detainees were treated in a similar manner, right?
The Stalinist similarities are getting way too frequent for my taste.
Gladney had a concussion, he was on pain medication, and he was outside for an extended period on a very hot day while attending this event. I suspect he was in a wheelchair because they (he and his doctor) were worried he would get dizzy and fall, but I have no direct knowledge of his reasons.
Interestingly, I can’t seem to find MSM ( aka State run media) reporting on this story. No Jessie, no Rev.Al?

Let’s see, Henry Gates Jr. (Mr. Harvard Professor Jailbird) get major coverage because he uses a cane. He was not kicked nor hit. The MSM wets themselves over a picture with this man walking with a cane.
Kenneth Gladney gets kicked and punched for trying to sell patriotic items at a protest. I forgot to mention having to put up with a arse that verbally assaults him, and then has the audacity to tell the police that Mr. Gadney was “attacking America?”
Anyone who has taken an ambulance ride to the hospital knows what sheer pleasure that is. They can also look forward to being prodded, poked, irradiated etc.
If the man sits in a wheel chair and is coherent the next day, we should question his motives?
Anyone who has ever been fallen in a tub, been rear ended (even at a very slow speed or fully stopped), will tell you that they feel like a train hit them the following day. Most will show none to mild visual evidence of a strike or jolt.
He could have stayed home and slept off the discomfort with drugs. He chose not to be silent.

I too was suspicious at seeing him in a wheelchair at first. But he was kicked in the back. It’s possible that his spine has swollen tissue around it and he’s been told to stay in a wheelchair fora week or so.

I am so proud that the St. Louis Tea Party did this. How dare Obama turn his Union Thugs on citizens who are exercising their right of free speech and right to assemble?
My prayers are constantly with each American during these times as we fight for our country. I am also a Conservative and a Tea Party member. We must now allow this behavior to stop us. Our Founding Fathers put up with much more than this. We are fighting to keep our country, I believe.
Mr. Gladney, I’m so sorry this happened to you and am thankful that you were not harmed worse.
We must keep exposing Obama’s “health” plan for what it is. And, to any Congressman or Senator who doesn’t want to answer to his/her constituents; YOU WILL BE VOTED OUT in 2010. That is a promise.

Just another note: to those who’ve mentioned Swastikas; I’ve seen images of swastikas with a red circle around them and a line through it. We all know and are familiar with what that means. No more Nazis. If the shoe fits….
But why the outrage over that? I recall the recent years (2001-2008) when the Democrats had a Hitler moustache painted on President Bush and had Nazi names assigned to each member of his cabinet. So, excuse me? It’s okay for the Democrats to behave like that but some people can’t point out that Obama IS BEHAVING like a Nazi? He is doing it. Look back at history. Tell me the difference.

The video’s there for all to see. Honestly, what is Obama gonna say? “Uh, I’m, uh, sorry my union, uh, thugs … took literally what I, uh, said about hitting back, uh, twice as hard. Everyone knows that it, uh, it was a, uhm, rhetorical flourish, as I have stated previouslty.” With him jumping the shark on the Crowley crap, Obama’s painted himself into a corner on this one. It was HIS union thugs, at HIS instigation, who attacked, with an overt overtone of racism, an average American, who happens to be black, protesting peacefully as part of the political process against HIS radical ObamaDeathCare insurance reform plan. There is nothing Obama can say to help himself that wouldn’t hurt him with his ‘base’. Obama is truly a thug himself, but with the added bonus of being a racist one, too. I don’t know about you, but that last bit makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

In 1947 my dad was flying a private plane in the mountains. When he got caught in a downdraft, the plane crashed. Since his passenger complained of a neck injury, Dad walked about 2 miles to a nearby cabin, helped carry a door from the cabin back up to the crash site, helped strap his passenger to the door, and then helped carry the door back down to the cabin, where there was a vehicle that could take him to a hospital.
The X-rays confirmed that his passenger had a broken neck.
His own X-rays confirmed that Dad had done all of this with a broken back. He spent the next 100 days in a full bodycast. When he was allowed out of bed, he was in a wheelchair.
Dad later insisted that this injury was why he couldn’t always keep up with his younger brother John when shearing sheep.
I agree with all those who have questiona re: the wheelchair….I also suspect that his defenders are correct.
But, this would not be the 1st time a lawyer puts his client in a wheelchair.
I’d like to see Gladney himself make a statement (and maybe even his Dr.)
guys, you understand that the concern that Sean has brought up while playing the devils advocate is what every person who is not familiar with “skeletal injuries” is going to think too. You can explain this away in a forum, but you can’t go to every person in the country who’d get suspicious after seen the video and tell them “look, you don’t understand, here’s how it works…” They will form their own perception about the event and from it their own reality that will not be favorable to Ken or the Tea Party movement. So even if the injuries are real, Ken, his lawyer, and we all have to be mindful of this.
Remember that lady, Natasha Richards, who bumped her head in her ski trip, and walked back to the hotel? She looked and felt “fine” until she’s not.
Gladney was in the emergency room, treated by a doctor, is suing SEIU. Whatever he’s doing now is tracked by the SEIU, and will appear in court. The SEIU can claim him exacerbate his injuries walking around. If he wants to be seen, he must be seen in a wheelchair.
I’d like to contribute little story if I may.
A hairdressing client of my wife was in a bad car accident with her mother. Because her mother’s injuries were so severe little attention was paid to the eight year old who had walked away from the crash, showing only a few cuts and bruises.
For a week while doctors and family focused their concern on the critical mother the young girl was fine with excellent mobility however on the eight day a pain in her back developed and by the end of that day she could not walk.
Twenty years later her mother is long ago fully recovered unfortunately the kid that had walked away from that accident apparently unscathed never walked again.
So to Mr Gladney I would advise to err on the side of caution and care less about how it may look to detractors and even some well-meaning cynics for chances are they are unlikely to be the ones helping you wipe yourself twenty years later if something has gone horribly wrong.
