A hairdressing client of my wife was in a bad car accident with her mother. Because her mother’s injuries were so severe little attention was paid to the eight year old who had walked away from the crash, showing only a few cuts and bruises.

For a week while doctors and family focused their concern on the critical mother the young girl was fine with excellent mobility however on the eight day a pain in her back developed and by the end of that day she could not walk.

Twenty years later her mother is long ago fully recovered unfortunately the kid that had walked away from that accident apparently unscathed never walked again.

So to Mr Gladney I would advise to err on the side of caution and care less about how it may look to detractors and even some well-meaning cynics for chances are they are unlikely to be the ones helping you wipe yourself twenty years later if something has gone horribly wrong.

Gladney was in the emergency room, treated by a doctor, is suing SEIU. Whatever he’s doing now is tracked by the SEIU, and will appear in court. The SEIU can claim him exacerbate his injuries walking around. If he wants to be seen, he must be seen in a wheelchair.

But, this would not be the 1st time a lawyer puts his client in a wheelchair.

I’d like to see Gladney himself make a statement (and maybe even his Dr.)

However, conservatives ought to be careful.

For those of us who saw the video, he appeared to get beat up a little, not “beaten”. He seemed pretty much OK afterwards, and to see him now in a wheelchair smells a bit funny.

Don’t get too carried away.

In 1947 my dad was flying a private plane in the mountains. When he got caught in a downdraft, the plane crashed. Since his passenger complained of a neck injury, Dad walked about 2 miles to a nearby cabin, helped carry a door from the cabin back up to the crash site, helped strap his passenger to the door, and then helped carry the door back down to the cabin, where there was a vehicle that could take him to a hospital.

The X-rays confirmed that his passenger had a broken neck.

His own X-rays confirmed that Dad had done all of this with a broken back. He spent the next 100 days in a full bodycast. When he was allowed out of bed, he was in a wheelchair.

Dad later insisted that this injury was why he couldn’t always keep up with his younger brother John when shearing sheep.

The video’s there for all to see. Honestly, what is Obama gonna say? “Uh, I’m, uh, sorry my union, uh, thugs … took literally what I, uh, said about hitting back, uh, twice as hard. Everyone knows that it, uh, it was a, uhm, rhetorical flourish, as I have stated previouslty.” With him jumping the shark on the Crowley crap, Obama’s painted himself into a corner on this one. It was HIS union thugs, at HIS instigation, who attacked, with an overt overtone of racism, an average American, who happens to be black, protesting peacefully as part of the political process against HIS radical ObamaDeathCare insurance reform plan. There is nothing Obama can say to help himself that wouldn’t hurt him with his ‘base’. Obama is truly a thug himself, but with the added bonus of being a racist one, too. I don’t know about you, but that last bit makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
