Secret Service Detains “Death To Obama” Sign Holder

August 13, 2009

Secret Service agents in Maryland have detained a man who carried a sign at a healthcare town hall meeting which read “Death To Obama” and “Death to Michelle and her two stupid kids.”

The man has not been identified, but we hope the public learns every last detail about this individual. Who is he and what is his background? It would be interesting to know.

Also, why wouldn’t the name of a man arrested by local police and turned over to Secret Service be available to the public?

Also, was there ever a single arrest of an anti-Bush protester under similar circumstances? This is not to say the Secret Service should not have detained the man in the story above, just that the Secret Service was hopefully acting in a consistent manner when they did so.

    At a guess:

    - If you never hear anything about this again, he was a Democrat plant.

    - If it’s all over the media in the very near future, he’s someone they can at least try to blame on the right.

Idiots like these need to be named and shamed. I refuse to let them be used to slander Americans who disagree with this President and we must be vigilant they are not!

There were a few arrests of similar Bush protesters. They usually got talked to and released the same day and told to phrase their complaints in a non-threatening manner. Most don’t serve time or get charged it’s just you get a talking too.

I wrote a Letter to the Editor sometime during the last 8 years to my local paper–which didn’t print it. I was trying to use the following examples to prove some point or another:

A few years ago or so a lady from my state got kicked off a passenger plane for wearing an anti-Bush shirt.

A Denver couple tried to sue the government when they got removed from a town hall meeting with President Bush. Some bumper sticker on their car, as I recall.

Sometime during the last administration, a Michigan(?)man got arrested holding up a sign as President Bush’s motorcade drove by.

A married couple was removed from a West Virginia Bush event one year for wearing anti-Bush T-shirts. I think they were later jailed, too.

A Utah guy got a visit from the Secret Service for an anti-Bush bumper sticker.

The Secret Service also paid a visit to an art exhibit at a universtiy because of a display of “postage stamps” showing the president with a gun at his head.

I know there were many more of these types of things going on under the last government servants we hired. I’ll let someone else “Google” these incidents for truthfulness and clarity. I have forgotten some details, but the gist is there….
