ACORN Backed Group Now Targeting “Enemies” Of Obamacare
September 20, 2009 | 13 Comments
Union thugs are gearing up for demonstrations to attack “enemies” of Obamacare:
But Health Care for America Now (HCAN), which is backed by a coalition of labor unions and liberal groups including ACORN and MoveOn.org, organized the protests to target insurance companies and drafted the plan, which describes the demonstrations as part of its “insurance enemies project.”
Even worse, they are openly talking about stoking anger.
The document, a copy of which was obtained by The Washington Times, details specific talking points, tactics, props and strategies to stage the protests. It lists goals that include action that “mobilizes our base by animating existing anger about private insurers.”
Must be more of that Pitchfork Politics President Obama is infamous for.

But None Dare Call It Astroturf…
Remember when the Democrats and media assured us that the Tea Party protesters and folks turning out at town hall meetings were nothing but organized astroturf rather than genuine grassroots activism? Well, what should we call this? The plan for……
I smell desperation.
Only a leftist would be angry at an insurance company. Could you be any more shallow?
You can always count on unions for unseemly behavior.
Bring it.
“Only a leftist would be angry at an insurance company”?
A government-run healthcare plan would be only marginally more faceless and unaccountable than Blue Cross. And I wonder where the per-capita money we in the U.S. spend goes, twice as much or more than other industrialized countries, if not to the insurance companies.
John, John, John. The insurance company does not keep that money. They pass about 90 of it on to the medical provider. They keep about 3.5% as profit. The rest is for administrative.
I get a little tired of people who cannot seem to read an income statement making these crazy statements about insurance companies.
We spend more per capita on medical because we can. We want the MRI tomorrow, not a month or two from now. We want to see out doctor, if not today, then tomorrow. John, do you think that is free?
Rick

— Have you ever heard of malpractice lawyers?
and its not twice as much as all countries.

Indeed. BUT… they would be utterly unaccountable in the courts. They have sovereign immunity.
“And I wonder where the per-capita money we in the U.S. spend goes, twice as much or more than other industrialized countries, if not to the insurance companies.”
If you really believe that’s the case, you’re a flaming idiot not to invest everything you can in insurance company stock. Their profits must be huge.
… So how much stock do you own in insurance companies?
“And I wonder where the per-capita money we in the U.S. spend goes, twice as much or more than other industrialized countries, if not to the insurance companies.”. Yes we should stop spending so much of our GDP on health care and spend it on entertainment instead. Free Nfl tickets for all!!!!
It’s good to see from the comments that Obama’s efforts to paint insurance companies as evil just because they show a profit has failed.
When I had my heart attack in early August, I was in surgery for a double bypass before the defibrillator paddles were cool. Call me biased if you will, but I didn’t find anything wrong with my care. And I’m fond of the phrase, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” Obama’s and the Dims efforts to take over the finest health care system in the world is questionable at best, and I’ll fight it as long as I can.
Hey guys I just got an email from my husbands work that had a bunch of your information and some photos of a tea party in chicago. My family has been looking for groups like this who are against Obama and what he is doing to our country. Right now we live in Utah and want to know if there are any active groups in the area that are against him and how do we get involved?
