Exclusive Video! Does ACORN Founder Pass The “Do Right” Test?
October 3, 2009 | 3 Comments
Yesterday we told you about ACORN founder Wade Rathke’s appearance in Washington, DC.
Today we bring you the video.
What follows is an 8 minute clip from the question-and-answer period following his discussion of his new book.
During the Q&A, Wade Rathke admits that some ACORN workers have failed what he calls the “do right rule.” NRO’s Mark Hemingway presses Wade on the “do right” rule in the context of his brother Dale’s “misallocation” of almost a million dollars, and ACORN’s apparent 8 year long cover-up of the alleged embezzlement.
Wade deflects by saying he and the executive committee covered it up because they just knew ACORN’s enemies would “weaponize” the story in order to attack sweet innocent ACORN, just like is happening now in the wake of ACORN being busted, allegedly helping undercover reporters defraud the government by aiding the establishment of a child prostitution ring.
Nixon must be rolling over in his grave! Surely the only reason Nixon covered up Watergate was because evil communists would use the information as a weapon against his otherwise pure administration.
Anyway, enjoy the clip, and enjoy watching Wade Rathke take questions from Big Government, the organization that has so brilliantly exposed ACORN!

[...] I should note that on a personal level Rathke is easy-going and downright charming. And having been around the political/policy block for decades, he’s mastered a tight control of messaging. A control that makes his successor, Bertha Lewis, sound like an amateur college activist by comparison. That said, his Q & A exchange was fascinating. (Video below from Founding Bloggers.) [...]
Each new revelation regarding ACORNS practices show us how truly corrupt the organization really is. Funding this organization with taxpayer dollars so they could commit voter fraud, tax fraud and loan fraud for years while government officials looked the other way is a complete abdication of responsibility by our political leaders. It’s time we start holding ALL of our elected officials accountable regardless of party. We elect them to represent us after all.
