When you compare and contrast the difference between how Al Gore handles a difficult question, and how President Bush handled a tough question, it is plain to see that the 1st amendment dodged a pretty big bullet in 2000.
Vice-President Al Gore simply stands by as a reporter is silenced and led away from a press conference, for the mere act of asking a very tame followup question.
In contrast, President Bush patiently engages a citizen who begins his question by launching a personal attack.
Which man do you think displays a better appreciation for free speech?
Thank god Al Gore never got that promotion.

Al Gore has no shame..
He took cash from big tobacco while his sister was dying of lung cancer from smoking,
He owes his wealth to big oil… (Conoco)
He and Tipper were behind labeling and censoring music as their pet project to worm their way into the hearts of conservatives.
His carbon footprint dwarfs George W. Bush’s.
He exaggerates data to promote his global warming agenda… which he directly profits on.
He sells carbon credits like the Catholic Church sold indulgences.
Long term, this guy has done more harm to environmentalism than anyone in history.
I don’t think global warming can be proved or disproved given how little we know about such a dynamic process. That being said… it’s easy to shift the argument to just disproving Al Gore… the front man.
If anyone can remember, Al was for marching US troops all the way to Baghdad during the first Gulf War. Cynical? stupid? or was it just the popular thing to say at the time seeing that nobody would ever remember…
If that man had spoken to Obama the same way he had spoken to Bush, he would have been arrested by the Secret Service, audited by the IRS and had his personal life fully investigated by MSNBC!

If I were Bush, I would’ve said, “Really? I tapped your phone? Your personal telephone? Gee, we’ve only tapped terrorists’ phones! If I tapped YOUR phone, then you must be a terrorist! Arrest that man!”
I’ve found people on the left often proclaim to be champions of individual rights, and free speech… as long as it agrees with their stance. Disagree, and you are labelled, shouted down, and persecuted. Hypocrisy a little?
