This from the mayor of the city with the highest number of murders in a large city in the country.
I think it’s safe to say “Chicago is the murder capital of the country.”
Just to set the record Miami with only 78 murders (Oct. this year) has the highest rate in the USA but Chicago with over 585 murders (Oct. this year) has a lower rate so it thus must be safer.

southsidetom you are right on every point & we must make sure that the end of Dick Daley’s tenure is very near. How can Chicago continue welfare or any other program of the past with the city flat broke as it is? People go to the polls. Get rid of Daley & get rid of the Chicago “nine.” Get rid of the anti-gun faction & the city will clean up.
If any politican does not support the 2nd amendment then he fails to support the Constitution, the people & his office. Discard all like him next election.

And this gives you no idea, no grasp, no clue as to how bad a remark like this is? This is as bad as claiming ‘Anyone who owns a gun, or know someone who owns a gun, or might have owned a gun in the past or may own a gun in the future, or if you just love guns and even don’t like to use them, you helped support terroristic acts because some messed up in the head insane looney went on a killing spree with a gun’.

This isn’t resolving the problem of ‘Looney with a gun’ or ‘Looney killed people with [weapon] at [place]‘ this is just claiming ‘If you’re an american, and you love guns, you basically fund the problem with guns being used to kill people’.

IGNORE THE FACT THAT MOST PEOPLE WHO OWN GUNS, like myself and ALOT of the posters here or their families would NEVER dream of doing something like this- or atleast doing this to innocent people! As I’m sure once in a while one would want to get vigilanty style justice upon rapists and murderers, but ofc we don’t do it as it’s wrong.

That is the key factor between us and the looneys. Not love of guns.
