Debt Ceiling Perspective

Progressive Democrats want to raise the national debt ceiling by more than a TRILLION dollars.

For just a touch of perspective here, let’s review:

In 1940, the debt ceiling of the U.S. Treasury was $49 Billion. With a population of 132 million, that’s $370 per person. [LINK]

Today, the debt stands at just over 13 TRILLION and climbing!

The estimated population of the United States is 307,448,353
so each citizen’s share of this debt is $39,312.69. [LINK]
