Doesn’t anyone around here learn ANYTHING? They told us openly after 9/11 that the goal is to push the US into armed intervention in Muslim countries. The strategy worked under Bush and it is still in effect under Obama.

We cannot get loose from these conflicts because any exit would damage our claim to be the world’s only superpower.

We saved the banks because they were “too big to fail.” Now these wars become too important to lose–lose face, that is. We might get out of Iraq because we’ll convince ourselves we’ve “won” something. And a similar bait and switch may work in Afghanistan. But those two shams will just make it harder to learn from our mistakes and not start interfering in Yemen of all places.

If you really want to get into the heads of how saudi’s think. read the book “Paramedic to the Prince” it was written by an American paramedic who was on the medical team for king Abdullah. The best book written about saudi I have ever read.

But guess there’s one good thing. We can now point at the left, sneer and say ‘We told you so’. Or something. Maybe flip them off.\

I really don’t wanna start living with the fear I had right after 9/11 happened :/
