What a B.S. article. I am sick of the continual mis-characterization of the progressive movement by the American right-wing. If ANYONE supported the Nazis, it was American corporations who ADMIRED Hitler. This is why several of them plotted to overthrow the U.S. government to set up a fascist regime here in America. This is is also why Prescott Bush was also tied to the Nazis.

Look at the health care debate: If ANYONE is a social Dawinist, it is the conservatives who oppose reform.

Jonah Goldberg and others are full of crap when they claim that Fascism and Nazism were leftist movements. Mussolini himself said the Italian fascist movement was a CONSERVATIVE movement, and Hitler said that Nazis were “anti-liberal.” He hated liberals, just like modern right-wingers.

Surprise, surprise.

This whole conservative mess extol they Founding Fathers, but they exhibit none of Age of Enlightenment beliefs. It is pathetically ironic.
