Why would anyone want the US to be more like Europe?

France will become the first country in the world to ban ‘psychological violence’ within marriage later this year.

The new law, which would also apply to co-habiting couples, would see people getting criminal records for insulting their loved ones during domestic arguments.

Electronic tagging would be used on repeat offenders, according to the country’s prime minister, Francois Fillon, who announced the law. [MORE]

Undoubtedly, if this was a US law, Hillary Clinton would have gone to jail during the Lewinsky scandal, when then President Bill Clinton unloaded on his intern’s blue dress. Hilly probably said a few hurtful things to her husband during those tense days.

More importantly, does this mean a man can have his wife thrown in jail for the “psychological violence” of withholding sex?

What a bunch of fools.

    I think this is hysterical. There aren’t enough empty jail cells for this silliness.

    Does this include yelling at your spouse during labor and delivery? We all know how that inner possession suddenly becomes loud and clear.
