Harry Reid has the interwebs buzzing as a result of his racist comments about then candidate Barack Obama:
As usual, the media and the blogosphere have this completely wrong. Reid isn’t racist, he was simply angling for a spot on the Democratic presidential ticket.
JOE BIDEN FLASHBACK:
“I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy,” Biden said. “I mean, that’s a storybook, man.” (Watch Biden’s comments and Obama’s reaction)
CNN has disappeared the video at the link above, but if you click on it, you will see that the title of the now missing CNN clip characterized Biden’s racist comment as simply “politically incorrect.”

What I find offensive is that because I oppose Obama’s agenda people are allowed to call me a racist. While it has never occurred to me ‘how black he looks.’ I can guess what it is that the left considers as ‘looking more’ black but only because they bring it up. It’s not just color, I don’t judge people based on the way they look, period.
Am I surprised when I get to know a short man and he ends up showing signs of “short man syndrome, “No.” But I never assume people are what they appear. Just as someone who “well spoken” may in fact prove to be very smart or just be pretentious and/or full of it.
I’m just sick of the racist left calling everyone else racists.
Harry Reid not only has racist thoughts, he is so narrow minded he thinks we’re all as stupid as he is (that Americans would have rejected Obama if he looked or sounded too black).
Reid’s comments were not racist. They were, in fact, truthful as anyone who has listened to Barack Obama can attest. Just like Hillary affects a faux southern accent in front of certain crowds, Obama does the same with black dialect. Please stop submitting to the left’s manipulated definitions of racism. Please learn the differences between racism, bigotry, and prejudice.
If Barry had been the ONLY candidate on the ballot, I STILL wouldn’t have voted for him.

We can only assume from Clinton’s wide brush comment that if Hillary had won and gone against Mcain/Palin, that he would have used the same comment against Palin being she is a woman other than his wife and he probably would have used Lewinsky as an example.
It could have gone something like “You know,a few years ago she would have been s___king us o_f”.

The fact that Reid think of Obama in terms of his color and dialect shows Reid to be a bigot.
