There are some people in the blogosphere attempting to cover for their Socialist buddy, Dan Glover, claiming he never said global warming was the cause of Haiti’s earthquake.
Unfortunately for Dan’s apologists, that’s exactly what he said.
Here is the direct quote for those who are apparently hearing and/or cognitively impaired:
“The threat of what happened to Haiti is a threat that can happen anywhere in the Caribbean to these Island nations. They are in all this peril because of global warming.”
One would have to do back flips in defiance of logic and reason to conclude that he isn’t saying the earthquake was caused by global warming. That might not be what he meant to say or communicate, but that is absolutely what he did indeed say.

One would have to do black flips in defiance of logic and reason to conclude that he isn’t saying the earthquake was caused by global warming.
Black flips?
That was a typo. Thanks for catching it.
Whenever the left pulls out the “context” card, you know a load of BS will follow.
I can’t believe that he would be that stupid…where is his handler?

I think you better stick to movies…
My memories of Lethal Weapon are irrevocably tainted.
To be fair, though, my opinion of Glover was already pretty low. Chumminess with dictators who make a habit of nationalizing industries isn’t the kind of thing that I personally look favorably upon.
Glover is an idiot.
Actually that’s not what he said at all. Try reading it again.
I took it to mean that unless developed nations act, we can expect more disasters of this magnitude in the Caribbean’s future.
But don’t let me get in the way of your 2 minutes of hate.
Or you could ask him. I double dog dare you
John- that may be what you took it to mean, but unfortunately for you, that is not what he said.
You can double dog dare until you are 13 years old, but that won’t change Dan’s words.
The threat in this case is a natural disaster called an earthquake, unless it was something else that happened to Haiti. Do you know something about what happened in Haiti that the rest of the world doesn’t?
Either way, thanks for almost reading Founding Bloggers.
