CNN Goes To Bat For John McCain, Labels Opponent A Birther

February 17, 2010

With no regard for, or opinion of J. D. Hayworth, who we know nothing about, it is beyond fascinating to watch CNN go to bat for his political opponent, John McCain.

Two problems for Mr. Hayworth in this interview: 1) Publicizing his friendly relationship with Harry Reid is only a negative. 2) Even the appearance of trafficking with “Birthers” can be damaging.

Thankfully, Hayworth thoroughly refutes the birther premise 7:00 minutes into the interview.

There are plenty of reasons to reject President Obama and his Progressive movement. The Birther premise is the weakest of them all.

Why? Because of a little something called evidence. For the birther premise to be correct, the Secretary of State’s office of Hawaii would have to be in on perpetrating an unprecedented act of treason, a charge so serious it should not be made or implied without any evidence. Anyone have any evidence that the State of Hawaii is committing this treason act against our constitution?

Sadly, the President exposes his cynical politics-as-usual M.O. by not ordering the full release of the documents people are concerned about. Our guess is team Obama loves what it does to the opposition. That’s the cynicism part. More harmful than that is the way it betrays his marketing of himself as an open transparency advocate. How can he be trusted to deliver transparency in government when he withholds transparency of his personal life for cynical political sport?

I’d suggest you look into the George Soros SOS plan (Secretary of State).

In addition, please explain how someone who is born with British citizenship (his own admission) is a natural born citizen of the United States????

It’s the 1770′s. The Founding Fathers just declared Independence from Britain, do you really think they’d want another British citizen to be the Commander in Chief? THIS IS A NATIONAL SECURITY ISSUE! Only two jobs in the U.S. have “natural born citizen” as a requirement. VPOTUS and POTUS.

A natural born citizen is one born to two U.S. citizen parents (plural), on U.S. soil. He could be born on the steps of the Capitol, and unless his father is not Obama, Sr., he is NOT a natural born citizen!

Does the constitutional requirement mean nothing to you???????

I am sorry that you have missed my point. The constitution means everything, but you need to provide some evidence that the constitution was subverted here. Without evidence, it is just a conspiracy theory. If it is true, there should be evidence beyond speculation and suspicion.

Evidence??? Are you serious? It’s hard to believe that there are still American citizens living in caves.

    Here is a starting point.

If more is still needed there is plenty. By the way, Barack Obama, himself, signed off on Senate Resolution 511 which also states that two U.S. citizen parents are required to meet the “natural born citizen” requirement.

Come out of the cave, the air is just fine out here.

According to S.R. 511, even obama signed the document that declared a natural born citizen is of two citizen parents. (McCain’s qualifications got tremendous scrutiny – why not obama’s??) His father was born in Kenya, never an American citizen.

So which is it? He’s not qualified according to his own admission in his book, or his father isn’t obama, sr.?

McCain is one of them, progressive.

Weird McCain reserved his wrath for his opponent while against Obama he did nothing.

I hope he loses and will give to JD this week.

Re: “A natural born citizen is one born to two U.S. citizen parents (plural), on U.S. soil. ”

Not true. A Natural Born Citizen is simply a citizen at birth, a citizen who has not been naturalized. Naturalized citizens are not eligible. Natural Born Citizens are eligible.

All citizens who were born in the USA are Natural Born Citizens.

That is why such prominent conservative Senators who are also lawyers as Orren Hatch and Lindsay Graham say that a Natural Born Citizen is simply one who was born in the USA:

    Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC), said:

“Every child born in the United States is a natural-born United States citizen except for the children of diplomats.” (December 11, 2008 letter to constituent)

Senator Orrin G. Hatch (R-UT), said:

“What is a natural born citizen? Clearly, someone born within the United States or one of its territories is a natural born citizen.” (Senate Judiciary Committee hearing hearing on OCTOBER 5, 2004

As usual, I put the undeniable facts (including FOUR seperate U.S. Supreme Court cases that uphold these facts) right out in front of everyone’s face and there is still someone that refuses to look at it.

Read ALL of it. I dare you!!!

ann1 says: “A Natural Born Citizen is simply a citizen at birth, a citizen who has not been naturalized. All citizens who were born in the USA are Natural Born Citizens.”

    Hahahahahahahahahahaha – that’s funny!

So Mr. & Mrs. Adolf Hitler visit the U.S., and she gives birth while here – their child is eligible for President?

Mr. & Mrs. Osama bin Laden visit the U.S., and she gives birth while here – their child is eligible for President?

Right. Our Founding Fathers, with all their foresight and their wisdom were just that stupid.

Next you’ll argue that if it’s not a Caesarean birth, it’s a natural born citizen. Nice try.

    Give me a break.

You have to wonder what the problem is. Why he can’t show it or won’t. There may be more to it than where he was born but it sounds more to me that he has committed fraud through his scholarships etc. His applications speak for themselves.

Re: “So Mr. & Mrs. Adolf Hitler visit the U.S., and she gives birth while here – their child is eligible for President? ”

    Answer: Yes.

The responsibility for keeping the children of dictators, and dictators themselves, from becoming president is held by the voters. Only the voters.

You should notice that the Constitution does not bar Tories (Remember the Tories, the Americans who supported the British.) from being eligible to be president. And it does not bar criminals from being president. Why not? Because the responsibility is that of the voters.

As for the four cases that were quoted, they were quoted wrong. All that matters is the most recent definitive case, Wong Kim Ark, which clearly ruled that every child born in the country is Natural Born. It said:

“It thus clearly appears that, by the law of England for the last three centuries, beginning before the settlement of this country and continuing to the present day, aliens, while residing in the dominions possessed by the Crown of England, were within the allegiance, the obedience, the faith or loyalty, the protection, the power, the jurisdiction of the English Sovereign, and therefore every child born in England of alien parents was a natural-born subject unless the child of an ambassador or other diplomatic agent of a foreign State or of an alien enemy in hostile occupation of the place where the child was born.

III. The same rule was in force in all the English Colonies upon this continent down to the time of the Declaration of Independence, and in the United States afterwards, and continued to prevail under the Constitution as originally established.”

EVERY child born in England, the colonies, the United States and under the Constitution is Natural Born. And when a child born in the USA is a citizen, she or he is of course a Natural Born Citizen.

“The Constitution itself does not make the citizens, (it is. in fact, made by them.) It only intends and recognizes such of them as are natural-—home-born-—and provides for the naturalization of such of them as were alien—foreign-born—making the latter, as far as nature will allow, like the former. …” Attorney General Bates, Opinion of Citizenship, (1862)

Notice the explanation of “natural” as “home born.

“All persons born in the allegiance of the king are natural-born subjects, and all persons born in the allegiance of the United States are natural-born citizens. Birth and allegiance go together. Such is the rule of the common law, and it is the common law of this country, as well as of England.” Justice Swayne, United States v. Rhodes, 1 Abbott, US 28 (Cir. Ct. Ky 1866)

“Every person born within the United States, its Territories, or districts, whether the parents are citizens or aliens, is a natural-born citizen of the United States in the sense of the Constitution…Natural-born subjects are such as are born within the dominions of the crown of England; that is, within the ligeance, or, as it is generally called, the allegiance of the King; and aliens are such as are born out of it.” …… “It makes a man a subject in England, and a citizen here, and is, as Blackstone declares, ‘founded in reason and the nature of government’ … The English Law made no distinction … in declaring that all persons born within its jurisdiction are natural-born subjects. This law bound the colonies before the revolution, and was not changed afterward.” Rep. Wilson, 1866 Civil Rights Act debates. 10 Cong. Globe, 39th Cong., lst Sess. 1115, 1117 (1866)

“Natural born citizen. Persons who are born within the jurisdiction of a national government, i.e. in its territorial limits, or those born of citizens temporarily residing abroad.” — Black’s Law Dictionary, Sixth Edition

Re: “do you really think they’d want another British citizen to be the Commander in Chief?”

That was the actual effect of the grandfather clause. It allowed persons who were not even Natural Born because they were born outside of the 13 original states to become president so long as they were naturalized. That would have allowed Alexander Hamilton, a naturalized citizen of New York who had been born on the British Caribbean island of Nevis, to become president. And some historical research indicates that the grandfather clause would have allowed some 60,000 other naturalized male citizens over the age of 35 to run for president, some of whom were of British origin (
