Andrew X,

I think if you watched the video, you would see how much of its energy (and meaning) would be lost in a transcript. Spoken language differs from written language - sometimes in significant ways. 30 minutes is a lot of time to invest - agreed. There are, of course, the highlights - and these are much shorter. I think that "It's not your business model that sucks, it's you that sucks" is not nearly as effective in print as it was live. Then again, I am partial to videos.

Can I just chime in on something about the Internet that aggravates me, and I think Breitbart's enterprises are a perfect forum to put this out there?

Namely, I really really do want to know what what was said by Mr. Breitbart to the convention. But y'know what -- maybe it's just me, but I am just not a video guy. I really want the knowledge he has to offer, but I don't want it presented through passive video where I literally have to set aside, what 30 minutes at least, to get it. Nor can I excerpt to forward anything that I might think someone else should hear (though the presenter may not want that, I don't know).

I think the day is not too far that we can feed video into software that will produce a written transcript, but, in this case I would really wish that a transcript of this speech was posted along with the video, as an option for old-school readers like moi.

Maybe I'm out of line, complaining about the flavor of the free ice-cream Breitbart et al are giving me, but I just find myself repeatedly frustrated in general when there is something on the Net that I really want to know, but I have to essentially "watch TV" to get it, especially when I can assume whoever is posting it certainly could post a transcript easily enough.

Forgive me if I am out of line, it's just my peeve. I'd be interested in other's opinions.

And now back to your regularly scheduled broadcast (as it were). :-)

This speech is a breath of fresh air! Breitbart lays it all out and doesn't hold back. He said what millions of other Americans have been wanting to say- thanks Andrew!

Thanks Founding Bloggers for the video- great quality!

Sooner or later some of these people will either be bought off or will sell out when the money gets high enough. All you have to do is look at our so called congress. Wait and see!!

Andrew Breitbart is a breath of fresh air. Us conservatives have needed a firebrand like him for a long time.

It's almost a shock to hear the truth when speaking about politics. For years, all we've heard is empty rhetoric and vague platitudes. Now the country is awakening from a long slumber and folks like you and Andrew are the alarm clock. Keep up the good work.
