(VIDEO) Obama Supporter: “What’s Wrong With A Little Bit Of Socialism?”

March 20, 2010

Yesterday, we attended an impromptu Tea Party outside the Evanston, IL office of Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky. Below are some photos and our in-depth video report documenting the event.

Very few people turned out, but that didn’t prevent the scene from turning dramatic as a couple of Obama supporters tossed around accusations of racism, and asked the absurd question: “What’s wrong with a little bit of Socialism?”

In the image below, the Black woman (right) and the Jewish woman (left) argue over whose people have suffered more righteously. You can see this exchange in the video embedded above.

We think that all Americans ought to be free to live their lives in whatever manner they may like, and this includes eating and drinking more than what one actually requires to maintain healthy lean body mass.  As lovers of Liberty, we celebrate individuality and the diversity of lifestyles that freedom engenders.

Ironically, the people pictured above, who called the Tea Party protesters idiots and asked, “What’s wrong with a little Socialism?” (seen in the video above), will likely face steep taxes and medical scrutiny for the cost-impact their lifestyle choices will have on the very nationalized health care system for which they advocate.

Like Rush said, it’s about two things, reparations for slavery and redistribution of wealth.

I would have taken out my wallet and thrown $1 bills at that spoiled woman. That brat actually feels entitled to my money.

wow, that is some crazed logic in that video.

The black woman, while she did throw out some racist type accusations, I believe her “400 years of slavery” comments had to do with reparations, not racism. She feels owed healthcare, and her statement that her children don’t want handouts reflects that. She wants free healthcare, but because it is “owed to her”.

As for Fatty McFatmiester, I wish someone would have asked him what he thinks about socialized medicine countries that have banned fat people from moving there, like New Zealand did. Where does he think those types of systems lead?

Here is the question that should have been asked of the black lady who kept bringing up slavery:

If it was wrong to force one man to pick another man’s cotton — and it WAS wrong, very wrong — why is it right to force one man to pay another man’s doctor bills?

The answer is that neither is right — it is never right to initiate the use of physical force (or threat thereof) against the innocent.

Simply put, nothing justifies the notion that some individuals have a right to free (or reduced cost) economic goods and services to be provided by confiscating the fruits of another man’s labors. We fought a huge civil war to end that notion — and yet today’s progressives are hell-bent to see it applied ever-more massively across our entire economy.

Enslaving the productive to pay for unearned benefits for the less productive is every bit as evil as enslaving the black man for the white man’s benefit.

That is what I would have said to that lady.

Darcel is an adult child. She views govt as society’s parents. And please, Darcel, the slavery issue is just soooo damn old. Do you not understand that you are have been kept back, your ability to function as an autonomous member of society smothered through big government “entitlement” programs? Do you not understand that you, and those who believe as you do, will never escape Uncle Sam’s Plantation? You are content to be a ward of the state. Free men and women never will be.

Does anyone realize that we got the idea for obtaining slaves from the actions of the Africans. They were raiding Europe for hundreds of years before Spain ultimately began to return the favor. They are still doing it. I personally feel that if we can find someone who was a slave, then we need to care for that person. The others have been on the pay role for the last 150 years in some manner or another. As to Southern lynching, sure we did that, the problem is that the people who were lynched were criminals and the government was doing as it is now, it was beginning to interfere.

I know a number of blacks here in the deep South that are the same age as the big mouth in the video. None of them can say that they have at anytime felt discriminated against. The only people that I know that continue to feel that blacks are different are blacks. Everyone else seems to be color blind.

Consider that only 40% of our country actually picks up the bill. None of the ones in the video have ever seen a tax bill. Note their weight, that is a dead give away. Yet, the 40% are being told to give up everything for the rest of the country that do not produce. This is not right. We have to re-adjust the scales and this health care bill is the tipping point. Voting does not seem to work. We need other options.

400 years of Slavery?? in the US? huh?

Perhaps i’m wrong but the first slaves were brought to Virginia around 1607 and Slavery was abolished in 1865. Illinois was ALWAYS a FREE TERRITORY, and claimed a FREE STATE in 1818. What is she talking about? HER people were forced to work in the NORTH SHORE?? When? Which NORTH SHORE?

    http://www.pbs.org/wnet/slavery/

I bet she can still find the money for her cigarettes and cable tv… or to buy JUICY COUTURE sweat pants.

None of these people understand what this bill means for themselves or for the country. Does the African American woman understand that under the bill she will be required by law to buy her own health insurance? No. Does she understand that if she can’t afford insurance, she’ll be forced into Medicaid? No. Somehow she thinks that her healthcare tab will magically be picked up by someone else. When the new system fails her, as it inevitably will, she’ll just demand more. Pathetic.

That’s a fair question. And it needs to answered.

Put it in the queue here, right behind:

What’s wrong with a little cancer?
What’s wrong with a little HIV?
What’s wrong with a little diabeties?
    What’s wrong with a little high-blood pressure?
    -> Put it right here.

Descendents of US Slaves are incredibly lucky to be born in the US and not in Africa. Only in America can they have freedom and potential from hard work. In Africa their only human rights would be poverty, hunger and murder by waring tribes or criminals. Africa is ruled by despots, there is no “Hope and Change” anywhere in Africa.

  12. Tea Time on March 21, 2010 at 11:45 am

Maybe people at these protests should keep a few copies of *Up From Slavery* by Booker T. Washington on hand to give out. That lady needs to read it. Everyone who hasn’t done so needs to read it. It should be standard reading in public schools. Hummm. I wonder why it isn’t.

It’s clear that many want others to pay their way, mostly because they’re “victims.” Some have nearly made a profession out of being a victim. I suspect that most are victims of bad decision-making and little else. We have fed the dogs, and so they come back time and again for more food.

In the minds of many, it’s the government that should pay for things, but they don’t seem to realize where government gets the money to begin with. It’s simply sophisticated income redistribution, and that only diminishes incentive to provide for yourself; why work when you don’t have to, and why work when your income is taken and given to others? As long as someone else promises to get others to pay for things, it will always be appealing to the “victims” in our society.

Sure, low and modest income people have needs, but so does everyone else. If we all started looking after our own needs instead of expecting others to foot the bill, we’d have far fewer people with needs that aren’t met.

As long as we put up with a lack of individual responsibility, we’ll get more of this type of behavior. It’s time we started looking at how worthy people are instead of how needy they are. We’ve rewarded people who live on the edge. I’m happy to help folks who are at least trying to help themselves – and I don’t mean help themselves to my wealth or that of my neighbor – the government is helpful enough in that regard.

  14. Shastamagic on March 22, 2010 at 8:41 pm

For that woman to say Whooptie Do to a Jewish woman who made the point of the fact that not only black people have suffered in this world really shows the victim mentality of blacks in this country. Why does the black community not look upon the suffering their ancestors went through as a blessing, becasue it brought them to this great country and allowed them to have all of the opportunities that people have here and not in Africa?

  15. Bill Trip on March 23, 2010 at 4:16 am

It’s obvious to see from this video how Obama became POTUS. It’s really scary the victim mentality and general ignorance of the Obama voter. Granted there are those who want the hand of the state to grow more heavy. I’ll wager there were many Obama voters who were simply tired of Bush who won’t vote for Obama a second time around having seen him in action.

  16. Bill Trip on March 23, 2010 at 4:23 am

I wanted to also draw your attention to the appeal to pity and emotional appeal used by all Obamacare supporters as their first and only line of argumentation. Everyone has a sob story and I do feel for those denied coverage or
whose medicines cost exceed their incomes but there are other solutions to the problem. Let’s not destroy the greatest healthcare system
    in the world.

You removed my comments? What’s up with folks?

  18. AtomicLibSmasher on March 29, 2010 at 11:49 am

Angry black woman – My people been slaves for 400 years. Um, is there STILL slavery in America? The jewish woman tries to put some perspective in this by mentioning the Holocaust and all the woman can say is “Whoopee!” Um, why can’t some of these self-entitled “Gimme my shit, NOW!” blacks see that there might be some more fucked over groups than them, like the Irish, or the Jews?

  19. AtomicLibSmasher on March 29, 2010 at 11:54 am

And another thing, Angry Black Woman says she’s poor, has dependent grandchildren (surprise, surprise), and needs surgery… well, what about MEDICARE or MEDICAID? This whole thing is a farce.

By the way, I forgot how good this blog is since I stopped doing mine. I’d rather be a commenter than a writer, but there was a reason I had you guys blogrolled… keep up the hgood work.
