It is shocking to see and hear elected officials and the news media use the sexual slur “Teabagger” to describe people like the little old lady pictured above. She attended the DC Tax Day Tea Party protest, obeyed all the rules of the event, never once challenged the police to allow her to take over an intersection, and went home at the end of the night without being arrested – just like every other Democrat labeled “Teabagger” in attendance that night.
For that, she has to suffer the likes of John Conyers calling her filthy names. It seems that he has forgotten the golden rule. How can he expect to be treated with respect if he can’t bring himself to respect this peaceful elderly American woman?
Democrats who play this game of ridiculing and vilifying regular everyday Americans must be crazy. They are in the election business, which means trying to attract votes. They seem to be going out of their way to malign everyday Americans, and the people who identify with them, like say, their loved ones. How should this woman’s family feel about John Conyers calling her names? How should anyone feel knowing that this could be any grandmother being called a Teabagger by one of the most powerful men in the country?
In what political universe is that a winning recipe for long term electability?
Also, is the left not aware that sweeping, broad-stroke demonetization of peaceful old ladies destroys their credibility as guardians of social justice and political correctness? Or is refraining from name calling out of deference and respect only available to certain privileged classes?
