It is a good thing to see any politician of any party condemn those responsible for the Hamas Gaza Flotilla:
“Turkey is responsible for the nine deaths aboard that ship. It is not Israel that’s responsible,” declared Rep. Shelley Berkley (D-Nevada), who pointed to Turkish funding and support for the expedition.
“If Israel is at fault in any way, it’s by falling into the trap that was set for them by Turkey.”
She continued: “The Turks have extraordinary nerve to lecture the State of Israel when they are occupiers of the island of Cyprus, where they systematically discriminate against the ecumenical patriarch, and they refuse to recognize the Armenian genocide.” [LINK]
Bravo Representative Berkley! Your anger and reaction are 100% appropriate. Turkey enabled the flotilla and they are behaving like bigoted hypocrites.
We especially commend Representative Berkley for her bravery in standing up to the Turkish partners of her American Marxist co-workers in the Progressive Democrat party.
After all, one of the supporting organizations of this pro-Hamas campaign is a group called the Progressive Democrats of America.
The PDA includes the following elected officials:
Rep. John Conyers, Jr
Rep. Donna Edwards
Rep. Raul Grijalva
Rep. Barbara Lee
Rep. Lynn Woolsey
All of these elected officials are also leadership members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, which was launched by the Democratic Socialists of America.
Representative Berkley is taking a bold stand against the well financed American Progressive movement, and she deserves our praise and support for doing so.
Peter King (R-NY), Adam Schiff (D-California), and Gary Ackerman (D-New York) also voiced their complaint toward the Turkish side of the Marxist-Jihad axis. Will they also stand up to the American Progressive component of this movement?
How about a couple of hearings on the working relationship between Global Exchange’s CodePink, and Hamas? Or do these elected officials only blame the Turks, and not their Progressive American partners?

Thanks for this. This really bugs me. I wonder if Dennis Hastert said anything yet?

I think Representative Berkley is the one that has the nerves to lecture the Turks when her country occupied a sovereign state on the false pretense of stockpiling weapons of mass destruction.
It is also sickening to witness her allegations on the Cyprus and Armenian issues which shows that she doesn’t have the faintest idea about regional international affairs.
Isn’t it about time she stopped acting as an Israel lackey and worked for the welfare of the American people.
