The "Tea Party" is over. When the U.S. House allows a "Tea-Party Caucus" and a Republican has asked for it, that's the only conclusion a halfway aware person can draw.

Grass Roots Co-Opted by the Establishment.

Watch where all this goes from here. Watch.

Sarah Palin will probably become the adviser to the caucus, or some such.

Thanks. E.

I'm frankly disgusted by Bachmann's move. What this means is that her caucus will be linked to the movement despite the fact they may vote in direct conflict of how Tea Partiers feel.

To me, this is nothing more than seizing a popular political torch for her party's (the GOP's) political gain. By doing this, the GOP will minimize the chances that a fraction of their voters will start voting for non-GOP (independent, Libertarian, etc) candidates, and therefor reel the right wing back to them. We've seen these two parties do this several times over history in order to dumb the populace into an either/or perceived option, and this is the latest chapter.
