Leftist Protesters Attack & Spit On RNC Delegates!… 80 Year-Old Connecticut Delegate Injured!!!

RNC Delegates were spat on and sprayed with poison today as they attempted to attend the convention at the Xcel Center.
One 80 year old delegate had to be hospitalized from the violence by the Leftists.
The Alabama delegation was one of the busses that was attacked today in Minnesota.
The Leftist, anarchist, Obama-supporting radicals attacked RNC delegates today at the Xcel Center and sprayed them with a toxic substance.

As the Connecticut delegation was getting off a bus near the Xcel Center, a group of protesters broke free from authorities and attacked the delegates.
Connecticut delegate Rob Simmons told FOX 9 that a group of protesters came toward his delegation and tried to rip the credentials off their necks and sprayed them with a toxic substance.
The unknown substance burned their eyes and stained their clothes.
One 80-year-old member of the delegation had to be treated for injuries, and several other delegates had to rinse their eyes and clothing.

Protesters harassed two state delegations in St. Paul to attend the Republican National Convention Monday. Someone threw a rock through the window as delegates from Alabama rode their bus to the Xcel Energy Center, where RNC events took place. And masked protesters confronted and harassed the Connecticut delegation — several of them were spat upon, roughed up and doused with a mixture of water and bleach.
Heath Fahle, director of the Connecticut Republicans, said the incident happened on Kellogg Boulevard about 2 p.m.
“It was frightening,” said Fahle.
He said the delegation of more than 100 got off their chartered buses near the Xcel Energy Center. As they walked on the sidewalk, a group of masked protestors chanting anti-war slogans appeared in front of them.
They linked arms, attempting to create a human barricade. As police on horseback arrived, Fahle and other members of the group tried to push through.
Most of them escaped unscathed, but the protesters splattered the last group of delegates with the liquid.
“Two got doused, and several more got sprayed with it,” said Fahle. Former U.S. Congressman Rob Simmons was hit on the face with the liquid.
Washington State’s delegation was also attacked today when Leftists threw cement bags and sandbags from the overpass onto the busses traveling down the interstate.

Guys, I will be straight.
It’s things like this that prevent me from putting a McCain sign in my front lawn.
And I live in a very nice suburban neighborhood in NC (I think it’s nice anyway).
If it where just me I would do it, but with my wife and little girl, I can’t risk it.
There are some scary Obama supporters out there.
This is not good for the Democrats.

Giving the left a good name:
A little later, a busload of Cub Scouts were en route to the convention, where they were to present the colors to open the convention. A group of protesters–liberals, Obama supporters, or whatever–blocked the road, surrounded the bus, and attacked it, rocking the bus back and forth, denting and scratching the sides, and generally terrifying the children trapped inside.
UPDATE: Earlier today, Founding Bloggers placed a call to the local Cub Scouts office to try and obtain confirmation of this incident, and we were unable to get that confirmation. Until we get confirmation, we have added a question mark to the title of this post.

WELCOME TO MINNESOTA!Anarchists in St. Paul, Minnesota attacked RNC busses today in route to the Excel Center.
The anarchists and antiwar nuts were protesting on top of the interstate overpasses earlier in the day.
Later when the GOP busses started to take delegates from Minneapolis to St. Paul the anarchists started throwing sandbags and cement bags at the busses.
Unreal.
The bus I was riding was hit with cement bags that the anarchists were throwing off the overpasses onto the interstate. The anarchists missed the bus in front of us and nailed our bus with a direct hit.

First lady Laura Bush said today that sexism aimed at Sarah Palin was a very real prospect and suggested Democrats watch what they say about the Alaska governor and John McCain’s ticketmate.
“The other side will have to be particularly careful,” Bush said in an interview on Fox News from St. Paul, “because that’s something we all looked at.”
Questioned about whether Palin may face sexism from the media in the way Hillary Rodham Clinton supporters claim she did, Bush said: “I think that’s a possibility.”
The first lady, who had been planning to speak to the GOP convention tonight before Gustav scrambled the schedule, expressed pride in Palin.
UPDATE: Laura Bush and Cindy McCain were added to the speaker’s list at the RNC Convention for Monday Night.
They will be asking for donations for hurricane victims.

The Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Barack Obama’s fiery ex-pastor, re-emerged yesterday with a crude reference about race and sex in the White House.
“This ordinary boy [Obama] just might be the first president in the history of the United States to have a black woman sleeping at 1600 Pennsylvania legally,” Wright said, referring to Michelle Obama, in a sermon at the Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church in Houston.

McCain spotlighted Palin at the suburban St. Louis rally — giving her the clean-up speaking spot on a stage erected over the ballfield’s home plate. She got an enthusiastic reception from the crowd that filled the infield bleachers and spread from the dirt base paths into the outfield grass. At various times, they chanted, “Sarah, Sarah.”
The ball team’s president said the stadium holds about 15,000 for such concert-style events. Republican consultant John Hancock, who served as master of ceremonies for the event, estimated there were about 20,000 people.
